Because they are wider, tubeless, and a bolt on upgrade. They run about $100 a set over a disc set up which will be $200 for rims at the cheapest plus a $150-250 set of forks and another $200-300 for the caliper break levers and rotor. Not to mention the fab work for the tree to fit the plastics. Can be done for a little cheaper if you find a dio zx front end to use but good luck there :) talk to graphite9 he'll let you know how much work it takes. Unless your planning on doing 70mph on the regular the drums are pretty good. Just get your self a set of slotted brake pads for the front and back they do wonders over the stockers. Or if you've got the cash go disc they do look bad *!

Hey Jim, I'm in Key West if you want to look me up. Seriously, the wheels in the pics are metro wheels as curtis mentions. The aluminum wheels are rare and expensive. They scream "steal me" when you see them.

i love my disk brake its from a AF28 diozx and same as graphite if i wanted to flip the bike i could with a squeeze of the brake lever .Befor i had the disk i totally cooked the front brake warped the drum burnt off the high temp powder coat with smoke pouring off the brake lol.

It's called tangerine kandy. Silver base with top color and clear. It's from house of colors.
