Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

It's been a few years since I started looking for a Honda Elite moped. Grew up on Hawaiian islands, so I was used to seeing these things go really fast. So then I found this site and started reading and more reading and then I pick up a one for $300. Bought parts off eBay to start my adventure. Here are some photos as I go along and have time to post more, enjoy.
This is how it looked when I first got it.


First thing I did was strip everything down, and stretch the scoot and lower it with a cheap disc brake setup.

Next was to cut off the exhaust hangers and shave down the cases to fit the fatty rear on.
Then came the extended motor mount.
So now its time to mock up everything in the rear.


Now that the rear has been lined up, it's time for the front end to get disc up!
Lots of cutting and welding and more cutting of plastics.
bought a none running Jon way scooter and used the front end.
Time to cut these up.

See how much longer and thicker the Chinese scooter has, it won't fit our elites.

Here it is after all the hard work.


Now the headset, I used the same headset off of the Jon Way I bought.

Now its time to strip down the whole thing and make it look pretty.
I sanded and painted the frame metallic blue.

Well, I started out with the cheap eBay kit that had everything, it was a good starter kit as with most newbies, I toasted the bore after ther second week.

Sanded and polished the front wheel that came with the donor front end, found similar rear fatty wheel on eBay and I like the white wall tire look so bought those too. FYI 3.5 up front will be very tight and it won't fit on the rear, will rub engine case)


Cleaned and polish engine and then 9.1 gears on.

Here is it all together before painting body panels.

Gonna try to carbon fiber the dash with the vapor unit inside.

As of the latest photos, I had a 90cc Taiwan bore which isn't exactly 90cc, a pwk 28 carb, chrome ct mannifold, wrong size K&N airfter. Prodigy variator, aftermarket belt, prodigy clutch, clutch bell, yellow center spring. Fabrizi pipe.

Then came the mighty Polini Corsa from Graphite9, thanks.

Ohh I didn't break it in like how everyone did, me and my father inlaw slapped everything together and rode it around the block. It was good until it kept seizing after 15mins of riding and then eventually stop running, new rings and hone couldn't fix what we destroyed lolz.

So in the plastic bag it went.

So on to the dash I was trying to whip up.

Bondo then carbon fiber

Finish with what I had in mind but wasn't digging it....

Also remolded the rear fender and carbon fiber that too.


I was in the mood for carbon fiber so I tried to do a under cowling also...... But need more practice! Lolz




Once it got hard I took it off and laid a really good coat of fiberglass to it.

I swam it at the bottom so no one can see it. It looks ok, everything from scratch and lots of hours so I'm keeping it on lolz. I also redid the fabrizi pipe silencer. Shorten it and carbon fibered it too lolz.


Done with and now to wrapping it.

Couldn't get my hands on a Japan rear rack song made one myself out of the old rack, and it's free check it out.


This two cuts are to bend the rack downward.

And here is the finished product.




Looking good, running great and just needed to fine tune transmission then the unthinkable happened let a friend ride it and whamp!! Into a parked car!!
