Alright well here is the build thread for my 1987 Honda Spree.
Bought it not running on 3/9/15 and took it for a ride that night.

As you can hear it didn't sound too good

Tore it apart and here is what I found

what did you clean the head with? the flat surface needs to be machined flat .Also the head needs to be milled to suit the larger piston if not squish will be way off.Make sure you use a crank puller to fit the crank into the cases other wise you can untrue the crank .

I cleaned the head with a wire brush and am using a sharpening stone to smooth the gasket surface. According to Taz the head does not have to be modified.

double check compression befor you start it then if you are not going to mill the head .

I broke a crankcase bolt and it flew threw the stator, so I ordered a new one. Should be here tomorrow, then I'll see if it'll start.

I was super * at myself for not using fresh crankcase bolts. But I just chalk that up as another lesson learned.

After a little mess up, its now up and running. Just need to get the carb in tune!

That wire brush put a lot of scratches into the aluminum head gasket surface.
1984 Aero 125 57 mph for sale.

Elite 150 64 mph for sale.

Elite 250 77 mph. for sale.

Red Honda Grom, modded to 250cc, 87 mph.

GSXR 1000 168 mph. My new favorite, scooters seems way too slow now.

Correct. I smoothed it down perfect using a sharpening stone.
