A friend of mine gave me this elite a few weeks ago that was in a flooded basement for a while and then sat for for about 15 years. This is my first scooter I have owned so I did some research replacing my froze up crankshaft and found that I was better off just doing a motor swap to a af16 I ended up finding one on Craig's list for 100 dollars that happened to have a cheep 90cc kit on it and a Koso variator and low ratio transmission gears and a 28 mm Koso carb it had been taken apart and slapped together very poorly so I disassembled every thing and to my surprise the every thing was salvageable so I cleaned every thing up real good and put it back together I am still in need of a pipe I had to make one from some scraps I had laying around just to play around on it until I get the money to start putting quality parts on it I never could imagine how much fun one of these scooters are I cant stop riding it. Now I have about 150 dollars in this thing and I find my self riding it more than my motorcycle !

Greetiings:

They are ridiculously fun, aren't they? Welcome. Sometimes stock (or stock-ish) is just fine. It's always cheaper.

Very cool! It's a good start and you will find your way with the help here. I noticed the muffler looks like it isn't bolted to the side of the engine.
There should be 2 bolts on there to hold it. Make sure it has at least one bolt or it could break the pipe.
Welcome to the forum!
