Post by Armstrong1 »

Greetings! Picked up an Aero a few months back and have been converting it to a JDM Af09 Tact! Enjoy

mods:

Metro wheels/tires
Elite front brake
Polini belt
Polini variator
Polini center spring
Malossi fly clutch
Tact AF09 rear fairing
Tact AF09 rear light
Tact AF09 front cowl w/ blinkers
JDM mirrors
DJ1r Honda expansion chamber

Next to install the JDM meter, comes with gas! :-)

I have all black JDM plastics that delete the aero side blinkers also. Still need to clean them and install. Still on the search for a black Tact saddle! Next mods will be a larger carb with carbon reeds.

Thanks for the love B. The meter is wired different than the nb50 so I need to get creative. Will keep you posted.

Thanks G, I love the Aero scoot, This is my second one. Only way I would get an elite would be if it was converted to JDM dj1r otherwise nb50/Af09 all the way!

Here's an update with new black interior plastics fully restored. Found a black saddle and I'll have it in a couple weeks. The plastics where extremely weathered but a heatgun with a wipe of tire shine has them look brand new.

Bikes running super well and looking even better! It cruises 43-44mph. Feels really stable with the f/r metro wheels. I'll get some fresh pics up soon. Thanks for the comps gang.

Finally revived from the dead. Lowered and stretched the rear 3 inches. I'm going down a size on the front tire to a 80/90 10 though. Not that it rubs in the front, but looking for a staggered look while keeping the metro rims. Needs a good clean and I'm contemplating color matching the wheels white but really want some dio rims or at least a rear for now.

Greetings:

Handsome Exotic (to us in the U.S. and A. anyway) scooter. Is the beer can stand permanent? Maybe use the Polini one on the chamber?

I would urge caution in downsizing to an 80/90 up front. For one thing, the wider Met rim is going to stretch the profile of that smaller donut in a weird way. For another. the speed rating on the smaller (Spree-size) tires can be lower. Lastly, the 2" suspension travel needs all the cush it can get from the tire.
