Really? I thought everyone's was flush? It looks like it should drop in further. It isn't sealing at all sticking out like that.

So on the oil plug, it should sit flush. I found that out by removing the o rings and seeing how far down it wants to go. What i did was sand the bottom ring so it sat more flush and then i took the one off oil pump to use at the top, put some 2 stroke oil on it and punched it in with rubber mallet. If not flush u loose compression and risk air leak, idle problems and more...

I took the O-ring off and it'll actually go past flush, so the O-ring must just be a real slight touch too big I tried giving it a swift little tap with a hammer and it still won't go, may need some more force. Mine only has 1 O-ring.

The last one i tried to shove in without sanding down it tore the bottom o-ring apart.
Use the o-ring from oil pump for the very top. Its the same as the oil pump used in the same spot. Makes semse.

Yup, I put that O-ring at the top, got it in snug, just need to make something to hold it down.
My new problem is getting the old reed cage out the dang gasket is so dried out it's stuck to the block, any suggestions on loosening up paper gaskets? Old plastic is chipping apart really easy so I have to be careful.

I hope ur not trying to re- use that! Lol. Use a razor knife to score around the bottom where the gasket is. Multiple times if u have to. The use blade to scrape old gasket off. Ive pulled around 4 of those off. My best luck was rubber hammer taps and twisting hard.

Got this PG Long mounted up, I think I got lucky from what I heard, was expecting it to not fit well. It fit perfect! Score! Tomorrow I'll put the finishing touches together, cap the oil plug, mix up some gas and start it for the first time.

You shouldn't be cross-training like that son. You could get seriously injured!

Got everything put back together and started up first kick! Thanks to G9 for the parts, wow the power is great compared to stuck! Not even done breaking in yet, so it'll be a while until I feel ready to open her up. I'm running a 108 main and 45 pilot, possible a little rich? I will figure that out once break in is done, I'll lean it out some if need be. Mainly I think the pilot jet is a little too rich. Looks like a lot of guys run 35-40 on the pilot of these Polinis.
