The weather was good enough to ride so I did some experimentation running a 150cc gy6 variator on my nh125.

Comparing parts, ended up using the nh125 ramp plate and boss on the gy6 pulley to make it work. It rides pretty nice, helped acceleration and top speed. I'm using the 13g weights it came with but need to order some different weight rollers.

Checking back on the variator, I made some sharpie marks on the pulleys and they got rubbed completely off on the outer pulley. But there's still marks on the gy6 variator because it's wider than the stock nh125 outer pulley. The gy6 outer pulley has different spline than a nh125 so I can't use that.

I figured out the elite ch125 and ch150 have the same spline size as the nh125 but the pulley diameter is wider.

Here's a comparison:
stock nh125 on the left, stock ch125 pulley in the middle, aftermarket ch125/ch150 pulley on the right.

Can you list the spline count and diameter of the pulley? That things huge looking! I wonder what else it can squeeze on.

Here's a link to where I bought the ch125/ch150 pulley from, it lists some dimensions. It has 21t on the splines but so does the Gy6 pulley but it's a smaller size and wouldn't fit, I don't have the measurements off hand.

I wanted to upgrade the contra spring on my clutch but of course they no one makes one for the nh125. I figured out a dio spring is the same diameter so I'm going to try this 2k one out. Once I put it together I can feel a difference how much harder it is to spread the clutch pulley with my hands.

Testing this stereo system before I install it. Just a mini amp with radio tuner or sd/usb/mp3 and 2in marine speakers.

Yeah thanks Mike for hooking me up. The weather here is too crappy now for high speed test runs, also need to order some different roller weights. The belt cover barely fits with the ch125 pulley but it works. Speaking of upgrades I've decided this aero deserves a ct intake upgrade, it would be that much more fun with a bigger carb. :thumbwink:

Adding the intake and TM24 Mikuni to my Aero was an astounding success.
There has been some criticism about the quality of the intake by graphite9. Check your intake for good, flat mating surfaces.

Yeah same thing on the intake I bought off ebay last year, took a little sanding to get flat.
