wanted to put out some pics of the dj1 clone i just finished building.
got the scooter as a 30$ offerUp basketcase that had no plastics except speedometer and a chewed up wiring harness. only thing it had going for it was the motor wasnt seized.i strpped it completely down and cleaned and painted the frame gloss grey. i fitted a zx stem low down fork tubes. and painted aa set of zx wheels w? disk brake front. got a new jdm wiring harness, red and white plastics, white glove box, lights and dj1rr front clear corners. i had tp trim a little out of the right one to fit mastercylinder under plastics. then cut the brake lever off the same side. a switch back amber and white LED headlight and led bulbs everywhere else also. i stripped the engine cases down bare. ported the intake as much as i could. trench cut the cases, installed new c3 bearings and a stuffy crank from a kymco dj50. pinasco 47mm aluminum cylinder w/7 ports, pinasco head, keli overrange variator gy6 50 rear pulley with straight groove light weight clutch resd clutch springs and contra, 21mm mikuni flatslide carb stage 6 dio reed block intake with boyseen reeds. ebay expansion chamber modified to fit an af05e. 87 se50 10.00:1 gears
it came out pretty good. its quick. sits a lot different than my first generation aero's.
