PICS / my Aero 50 on steroids / SA50 Corsa mini-stroker swap

Here ya go guys, this is something Honda never intended for anyone to do; building a discontinued scooter piece by piece.
-i built the Aero 50 back in 2002 - Doug of myscoot.com put my build up on his site when i was putting it together. Hopefully his site will be back full-swing soon. i restored my first NB50 when i was in high school, and after selling it, i totally regretted it so i built another. ** VT Cycles found a picture of my first Aero 50 i restored, and it is the picture for their link to the NB50 section.... ive never even talked to those guys - hahaha!!

These are new pics with the SA50 Corsa mini-stroker installed. When i get time i will put the body panels on and take some more pics. Even in 2002 body panels were hard to find; i bought back-ups, but of course the black ones were long gone.

Let me know what you think - it's still freezing cold here in KY, so i still have not got a chance to do any tuning.

later, jc

Clean is an understatement! I thought honda made the frames covered in grease and varnish!

Been scrolling up and down, up and down for around 15 minutes over your scooter pics. Very nice build, almost like a time machine. Fantastic effort you've gone to.

Thanks for all the compliments guys - the only part that was original was the frame, which i had chemically cleaned, then media-blasted, then powdercoated w' Dupont silver metallic then clearcoated.
Everything else was bought new from Honda back in '02. i bought all my performance parts from Patric Day aka Daywot.

As for the wheels, they are OEM Honda from the Metropolitan. i chose to use them because they are tubeless tire applicable. the tires are SAVA slicks 90-90-10's. The Metropolitan wheels are a direct fit. The transmission is all new DIO ZX parts; and the trans gears are 17x41.

The speedo is actually the Canadian version from the Aero / Vision offered in Canada in the 80's. i scored it on Ebay Canada in '02. it wasn't hard to find at all. Check Ebay Canada under "honda scooter parts."

my next project with the Aero is to add a HID lighting system, and
possibly a Burial exhaust from Japan.

Hopefully soon it will be warm enough to do tuning, and get the engine broke in.

im in Lexington, KY -

much appreciation..... jc
