I'm the Secret Santa that is making the custom rare floor mats, petcock covers, and battery covers. I didn't want to post until I had a little stash to get to everyone. I've spent well over $1000 of my own money to bring these to you. This has been a very EXPENSIVE and time consuming effort so I've priced things accordingly to help recoup my costs. If you want multiples, I can combine shipping to save you some money. If these sell out, I'll make more. Ordering details at the end of the post and it's first come, first served in the order I receive your PMs.

***IF YOU SELL THESE ON EBAY, I'M DONE***

Here's a picture of what I have (so far). Click the pictures for a larger view:

1. Floor Mats (with screws)

Forum Members: $60 + 13.50 flat rate box
eBay: $75 + 13.50 flat rate box

These are the rarest of the rare accessory. I've owned over 30 Sprees and only came across 3 floor mats in my day. So, grab these while you can. I sent a few sneak-peeks to some members for their unbiased review of the mats. Please see this thread for more pictures and details:

They are amazing quality. The first few I made have some swirls on the back side where the pigment reacted, but the front side (the visible side) is great. I've since figured out the pigment issues so most are perfect front and back. Anything with a questionable front got sent to the DUD pile.

2. Petcock Covers (with a nickel plated L-tab. Not OEM, but "OEM" is why they are all missing)

Forum Members: $40 + 7.50 flat rate. More than one, 13.50 flat rate box
eBay: $49.99 + 7.50 flat rate box

Again, awesome quality covers made with high strength, high temp plastic. Notice I have mostly black in the pile. Red is almost impossible to color match for a few reasons. Red plastics fade differently so it's hard to get a good sample of what it SHOULD be. Second, getting the pigment ratio is a pain. Too much pigment and it's too dark. Too little and it looks pink like an erect dog. Keep that in mind if you order red. If you want to paint it, Rustoleum Apple Red Spray paint is almost a perfect match to most of my red Sprees. These are not painted, but are infused with pigment.

White is similar. A few members have said some of their white Sprees are bright, some more subdued. The pigment I use is just called "white".

Here's a picture of a shiny, new black cover:

Quantity Available:
(Check back for updates)

Black - 15
White - 4
Red - 2

3. Battery Covers

Forum Members: $20 + 7.50 flat rate. More than one, 13.50 flat rate box
eBay: $25 + 7.50 flat rate box

Quantity Available:
(Check back for updates. I'll make these on-demand as they are time consuming)

New offering. Most of you don't have these. These are made with the same plastic as the petcock cover and should be used mostly for cosmetic purposes. I say that because the tabs that push through and lock are the thinnest, smallest portion of the cover and caution should be taken when pressing in and out of the slot, as it could break the end of the tab. Keep that in mind when ordering. Shiny and new and a perfect final-touch on a restore. The picture doesn't do them justice.

This is cool! I just got my '85 Spree a couple weeks ago and it is missing the dreaded petcock cover. I hope these items will be available for a while, as I kinda wanna save some money before making my Spree look truly complete.

His reply email said "I tried to log in and forgot my password.
When I tried to use the CAPTCHA program, I got a message that Captcha was not supported...etc."
Something to that^^effect. Not sure he is concerned with it. He didn't ask me to do anything to help.

From Brad:

Can you update the thread for me and let them know that I just moved houses this weekend and I will have some black petcock covers, a few floor mats left, and one or two black glove boxes?

I'm stuck until the site is updated.

I would be interested in a floor mat and glove box once Brad is back. Does he plan to reach back out to this thread?
