**Update**

Runs like a champ after another carb cleaning & jet cleanout. Gets up to 30mph pretty quick. Trying for at least 40 soon.

A big Thanks to Adam for hooking me up with plastics!!! (Can't seem to find your sn.)

Should I paint red because the front I in great shape or go a military sand or green color?

Any cool paint schemes? Thanks

Cool thanks, I have the plastics painted. Attached a quick pic I took. My only concern now is that she won't start. Started great everytime before I cleaned the jet. After the jet cleaning, I went on one ride where it was fast, throttle response was great & then put it away. Now I can startup. Tried screw 1 1/4 out up to almost 2 turns. Battery fully charged. Pulled carb off again. Checked spark. *

BPR6SHA plug is what I have. Should I really have the BPR6HS? I've read alot on the plug and most said the A model. Also, cdi is probably stock, replace? But it should be ok because when it does run, it runs fine. Idk

Greetings:

Methinks the manual for the Aero 05 block specifies the HSA. Something about the length of the reach. You may be able to use the AF16 spark plug, but in case there's a reason (Contact with the Piston??) why Honda-san has differing specs for the two engines, I recommend you use what the manual says.

Why does everyone start jacking with the carb when a well-running scooter suddenly won't fire? The carb slips out of adjustment while we sleep, perhaps? Except for making sure fuel is being delivered to the bowl, there's nothing to check on the carb. Carb evaporation, Spark plug fouled or a reed broke when shut down (this does happen...), Bystarter glued into its socket, float valve malfunction, bird's nest in the intake - all are more likely than a carb adjustment issue.

Yeah, you're right. I'm looking at other issues as well.
Ever since I got the scoot I haven't checked reeds. Couldn't get the darn thing off. I'll try to check it. Thank you for responding. :-)

All back together, & no go. No matter what I do. Spark is great. Fuel in carb bowl, good battery. Checked the piston. Bystarter bad/not working. Pulled the throttle cable out, shouldn't the needle be a little wet? No fuel passing by? Air filter is new & no leaks. Idk now whats up.

Pulled the bystarter out, the green & yellow wires that connect to it are only supplying 2.5ish volts. Should be 12 or so to feed the bystarter correct? Btw, I can push the bystarter needle in. Shouldn't it be fully in & only come out when supplied with power. Probably it is malfunctioning. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

There is a vacuum test in the manual. Thats the way to diagnose that exact issue. There is a small port on the intake side of the carb that supplies the air to bystarter circuit. It passes air or not depending whether the bystarter is cold or hot. If you dont have a vacuum tester an ear syringe for a couple bucks will work to see if the port passes air when it's supposed to.

Try Choking the air box inlets of you can reach them while cranking the motor over that might make it fire up. That might just richen it up enough to get it to start.
