LoveMyHonda wrote:If you haven't ported your cylinder that pipe won't be good for it. Pipe must match the cylinder. You need high flow. I'm getting the same pipe for my ported fabrizi because it matches the characteristics. The corsa is capable of flowing it but you absolutely must port it and the block. The laziness is due to too large of a chamber for the small displacement I'm guessing. Putting a bigger carb will hurt the bottom end even more and still flow the same up top thanks to the port timings. A 24mm carb can flow 13.5k on a corsa with a yasuni c16 modeled pipe.

Could you expound on the corsa porting? I have one to use and have a ton of porting abrasives and would love to understand what you know, I dont suppose you have a sketch/ a traced line of a good one? (know that is a stretch but, I have seen some guys trace their port jobs for future reference on the the aprilia forum). Thank you.

You don't need to buy it, I'm not even sure I want to cough them up.. The transition is so smooth.. Is your highest top speed with the pg long? I'm impatiently waiting the results of the windjammer. :geekdance:
anything posted since the picture of the bike with the windjammer on it
are the results so far
the pipe makes good power from takeoff to top end

highest with the PG short was 70.1
but the windjammer gets to top speed faster
and a lot better passing and takeoff than the pg short
it is a loud but good sounding pipe
have had a lot of comments on how good it looks and sounds

reposting you tube link to how windjammer sounds / looks

no luck on finding my GPS
the test road where I lost it view from both ends
very overgrown
this area had houses along it many years ago

4460 miles on odometer yesterday
1450 miles on odometer is when put the metzeler me1 tires on front & back
3010 miles on back tire in picture
I would say 3000 miles is the life of a metzeler me1 rear tire
thinnest point in center is .148 thousands 9/64 of a inch 3.76 mm

put new tire in front
and put front tire on the back
picture of front tire about 30 posts back

I also found out that the mounted police horses
don't like the sound of the windjammer
almost threw the police officer off the horse (horse went up on 2 hind legs)
he wasn't happy but I didn't get in trouble
this is a lot longer story but you get the idea of what happened

bought a new to me ( used) garmin gps
tried a couple of different tunes
this was the best so far

a lot of repeated info for quicker future refrence

4570 miles on bike
1470 miles on odometer when I rebuilt motor
3100 miles on build to date
new front tire. swapped old front to rear at 4460 miles
so there is 110 miles on front tire and there is 3,120 miles on swapped rear tire
new belt 4255 miles on the odometer so there is 315 miles on belt factory Honda belt
Phongeer aluminum drive face
93 Octane fuel , (R+M)/2.
8.5 gears
24mm Polini pwk carb 123 main jet 45 pilot jet
JJH CARB needle clip on top
new malossi yellow contra spring 1500 RPM
variator weights 30 grams
Humidity:42%
temp 79 deg F
wot CHT hit 365 deg
oko air box
CT intake
polini 3 shoe clutch
naraku clutch bell
Windjammer exhaust
polini corsa 72cc
malossi crank
32-1 premix Klotz r-50
11,800 max rpm
74.6 MPH

need to try some lighter weights when I get a chance

going to try a red contra spring again last time I tried it lost mph
tried a white malossi contra spring not enough crusing rpm
time to work on putting on the disc brake front

Thats the fastest I have seen posted on a build that I can remember. Is that on flat ground? I hit 72.3 or so but it was on a serious decline. Thanks for all the details.

Greetings:

And a tip of the Wheel-hat for extracting what must be All of what a 72cc can deliver. You also confirm my belief that 28mm is too much carb for that displacement, definitely not worth the midrange tuning hassles to go bigger than 24 or 26. Anyway 1 MPH per cc is The Holy Grail of Scooterdom. Great job!

would love to see a 2stroke elite/dio style scooter go 91 mph
with proof to back it up
and disclose all there build specs

with that said
this is the first 2 stroke motor I ever built and first scooter I ever modified
with 8.5 gears and 72cc I believe it to be one of the fastest scooters on this board
I have documented every part of my build to share the knowledge I have learned
and hopefully help out others who build a scooter

I have heard all about elite/dio style scooters that go 90 + mph
there is 125cc elite in my town hear about it all the time
oh so and so scooter is faster than yours
never saw the bike or proof that it can do 90

do I think I can make this go faster maybe with 6.5 7.0 gears more tunning ect maybe ?
but will it be ride able at 25 mph or even 30 mph or even have any type of takeoff
right now it is a enjoyable scooter to ride
and any faster with the drum brakes would not be safe
not saying the drum brakes are good at stopping at 70+ mph
