Re: AF16 Powered "Victoria's Spreecret"
2nd Round Mock Up!
Now she sits right SO... The RS24 JUST rubs the tire, the stock shock BARELY misses. Going to space the wheel out just a hair and try my luck again with the Malossi.
I noticed a lot of different style shock relocator mounts and some i have seen use gussets, stiffeners, etc... Since I was smart and saved my template, I sent another one out to the burn table and figured i'd make it symmetrical and put one on the OTHER side. I will use this as my stiffener from lateral movement. I will use some all-thread (threaded rod for you ace hardware gurus) and nuts inside and out, to try and keep the load distributed amongst the 2 mounts. (Note: the image shows 2 long bolts, it's just what I had laying around to make sure the bolt holes line up )
BBK and a shît ton of other ancillary parts are getting ordered next week.

Re: AF16 Powered "Victoria's Spreecret"
Have you cut your leg shield for ruckus tree fitment yet? Picked up a met tree for my swap but seems like a ruck tree would be easier for me with all the stuff I already have. I was thinking the met tree would be better since its a little more narrow, but wondering if it's worth all the extra work I'll have to do to use that instead of a ruck tree

Re: AF16 Powered "Victoria's Spreecret"
No cutting to the leg shields required. I just cannot use the stock fender on the ruck fork because of the width difference. You can see the fitment of the front leg shields on a photo i posted in this thread (Page 7). One thing i did notice is that the "bump stops" on the ruck fork dont really jive with the stops on the frame. Makes the "stop to stop" radius really minimal so im going to have to notch out the Ruck stops a little to get a better turn radius.Lanemeyer14 wrote:Have you cut your leg shield for ruckus tree fitment yet? Thanks! Build slowed down a bit because of the holiday spending but i have some dough stashed aside for the last few parts to get her road worthy.ped wrote:Looking good R1

You will more then likely have to cut into the leg sheid, turning radius without will be very minimal

What did you cut on the leg shield? Look at my pic on page 7, that wheel aint touchin NOTHIN' lol. I guess you have low downs in the front and mine are just stockers.hothatch85 wrote:You will more then likely have to cut into the leg sheid, turning radius without will be very minimal
Is it the triple that hits when i notch the stops out?

Well decided to paint the case. Just cant decide on wrinkle black, satin, or flat...
At least got around to doing some masking.

Pray with Me...

Polini Corsa, Polini Belt, Polini Vari, Polini EVO Slow Jets (On Back Order), Trail Tech Vapor w/ Extension, Stage6 Pod, NCY Kicker, Anno'd Kicker Cover Bolts, Tadia Head Studs, Anno'd Oil Plug, Fuel Valve, STR8 Fan Scoop (On Back Order), STICKERS, wallet that needs refilled, and a Wife with A LOT of questions
Just waiting on my slow jets & scoop that are on back order.
Once I get this engine assembled, its back up to the front to work on the vapor, handle bars, & controls. Then to figure out what I want to do for lighting.
YOU DA MAN G9!!!!
