Keith has the single ring version for sale last I knew.
Try out the lower gears and you'll be doing 80 no problem. Check the gear fluid regularly before going these speeds. Things get wonky quick doing 70+. Really awesome to see these cylinders shining. Also break in has just begun finishing on your cylinder so more power every day.

A liberal slathering of oily residue across the outer flank of the Fabrizi pipe's chamber underscored the fact: 52/125 is still WAY rich. Dropped to 50 /122 and Zoom! Houston, we have Lift-Off! Front wheel skims the tarmac on the way to 74.6 MPH @ 11K. Peak Temp still only 374. Fabrizi Rocks!

Thinkin' of re-installing taller 7.57:1 gears?

Do you have the polini 26? My stock pilot is a 45 and it starts right up, but I didn't even check to see what the main was. do you know?

Greetings:

If I did check, I don't remember what the original main size was. 45 pilot may be small, maybe 50 too big, but every engine is different, even if composed of the same parts. Use my values as a starting point, but Believe your own CHT, tach, ears, and Butt Dyno.

Greetings:

Unable to trace a tranny oil drip; 1 drop per day. I decided to hunt down a 2-bearing cover and convert to pre-1998. Starting with new dowels, bearings and clutch shaft seal.

The correct gasket may be important to keep the oil, kicked up by the gears themselves, feeding the ball bearings of the mainshafts and the plain bearing surfaces of the countershaft. Ouija-boarded the cover on some 320 paper for a true flat surface. I'll do the same on the crankcase when the parts arrive. Sticking with 7.97:1 for now. We will see if the early cover and its 2 ball bearings makes any difference.

As posted in Dude! Swap in a Spree!!
Flash 7 is to be retired. Lest ye succumb to despair, please know this fantastic, reliable Powerhouse is going to a better home than mine; I expect the talented Forumista in question will have more tuning time and talent, and will crack the Holy Grail of 82 MPH on 82cc. More to come on the post-mortem, maybe video. (I'll try... Wheelman is the Anti-Geek.)

Hi wheelman. Now with the reflex it's smooth sailing.
you did everything possible for flash.
now that flash is being castrated for a good cause. lol respectfully.
you can keep the oil pump. tie it open on full, put a 92 jet in stock carb. no premix required. Have Wheelperson keep an eye on temp. I don't see any issues. I've been driving one like that for years. gas and go.
:peace:

Greetings:

Everything but 82 MPH on 82cc. Oh had I more time to goof with it. Or a better tailwind.
Flash 8 already has a pump plug installed. I'll see to it that her tires are aired and her tank full.

Sorry to just jump in here, but did you imply that you are running a corsa and arrow pipe with a stock carb and oil pump, with no pre-mix? For how long? I am going by your signature also......
