Hi forum.
Finally some warm weather for the spreedio test run.
I set the GPS speedo on the phone and put it in my pocket.
I went for a 11 mile ride. when I stop to check top speed, 60MPH.
the ride was mostly flat except one slight hill. will retest on flat only soon.

Polini corsa
Rumina stock crank
8.4
TT temp gauge (401 max)
Pre mix (oil pump plug)
Stock exhaust pipe. (drill out washer)
Stock carb (91 jet)
stock mani, reeds, air filter
old stock belt (slipping)
stock variator
stock rollers (8gm I think?)
stock tire 3.00-10
stock rear springs.

hi forum.
The spreeDio was very stable at high speed.
I felt comfortable at that speed, or higher speeds. ( I'm 175 lbs.)
I took the PG Short off because it's to loud. ( no high speed testing done)
I took off the 24mm oko because the small spree gas tank, and gas hog. ( no high speed testing done) plenty of power.
I am still breaking in the polini corsa.

Hi Wheelman.
That was just a test run. I have the new metro brakes just have to install them.
First time all year we had good weather for testing.

Cool ride. Is that plasti-dip paint?

I dont think anyone has posted this adaptation before. I believed it could work because the Spree forks telescope like the Met. Not having built a Spree myself, never got to test the theory. Well done. The Dio-powered Spree needs all the stopping power it can get!

^^ that's so true. A lot of people often neglect the stopping part of the upgrade equation...

That looks awesome! Id be scared of melt down from the stock pilot though but if it works it works. Funny enough I run 1 jet size smaller for my stocker thanks to the intake, reeds and exhaust. Keep her stockish as long as you can and enjoy the good MPG!

The brakes work great. a lot better then the spree brakes.
The tire size is 2.75-10.
Any bigger tire will rub on the spree forks.
I think I'm going to change them to left side. because Honda made the brakes for left side. and my wheel is facing opposite side.
I have to get a longer cable. but everything works fine.

Hi lovemyhonda. max temp peaked at 401. when let off gas.
I will adjust the air fuel mix, as I'm still testing top speed.
I will use the TomTom GPS for next test.

I have photos of the metro brakes on the spree.
but cannot post them.
I get this massage: Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.
It looks like the forum won't get to see bigger brakes on the spree?
