Yeah doubt I'll be out to much in this weather. Cruising last night ambient temps in the high 40s my cruising temps were just under 300 and I had to push it hard up a unforgivingly steep hill to get it to 371. Trust me I've read up about the colder temps being harder on temps and have been jetting in fairly cold temps. Mid 50s for most of my tuning.

well Ive had this cool old Bieffe helmet sitting around and finally found a NOS visor for it after a long search. it came in today and got it on. not sure how I am gonna paint this one but it cant stay these colors. I am thinking of doing a rising sun on it somehow. typically I go black with some kind of reflective accent. but thinking since this will be a daytime only helmet I might go bolder. if anyone has ideas let me know I am open. this wont be my daily helmet but more for rides and whatnot.

been sitting on this extra this extra seat for awhile thinking on how I can make my * happier and make my ride more comfortable. got bored at work today and decided to start doing some modifications. this is just the beginning of what is gonna be a interesting test. I think I am gonna shoot for a old cafe style looking seat so I can sit a little further back on my seat and not F up my back. the curve right over the seat lock catch is where Id like to sit but sitting on forward slant does bad things to my back. we shall see what becomes of it.

Well seat project got put on hold. Went to take her out Sunday let her warm up went to pull out... Cough... Dead. Pull plastics off to check things and found I got about 20 psi compression. checked everything I could not leaks pulled head off and found this. Haven't checked the jug yet but suspect some bad ring for sure and hopefully just a gasket praying the jug is ok.

Well that'll teach me! This is what i found upon pulling the head. Piston shot 2 grooves in the cyl. Ugh

Just saw the picture from g9, that's no good! C clip coming loose will wreak havoc to everything. You will have to split the cases to remove the rest of the piston and cylinder from the crank bottom. Sorry to see!

I was afraid I'd have to do that. Well thankfully it's almost winter here guess I'll get her nice and cozy in the garage and start tearing her apart. Just curious on wether the cylinder is salvageable here's a better pic. It did some damage to the opening will probably just get a new kit since it's gonna need to be split I will have time to ponder the next move.

I would split the case to clean it out. You can go with the flush but you risk ruining another kit. I've done the flush but only with a stock bore. Worked that time. They might make an oversized piston for your kit. But those grooves look pretty deep to be able to get away with a quick hone. Maybe time to go malossi crank and Corsa? Hmm

Well as of now nothing is going to happen till the new year so I'll have time ponder. Wouldn't mind splitting the case if I knew what to do. I'm sure splitting is the best course of action and going to do whatever I have to to not throw more money down the drain. And if I do split thr case I might as well look at my crank options. Thinking about just signing over a percentage of each paycheck to G9. tge crank and bearings are the only thing on this motor that isn't purchased at SSS. Wouldn't mind cleaning the engine up anyway so splitting is looking like the smart decision.

Finally got some free time to yank the motor. Gonna clean her up a bit then take it to G9 and we are gonna split the case and clean it out and put new bearings and seals. Then on to the next BBK.

Heading to G9s today to split the case and pick up a big box of goodies to get the beast back on the road. Giddee up

New bearings and seals in and got it cleaned up and corsa installed(kinda) if yall didn't know yet G9 rocks! Thank god we live in the same city. Now to reassemble and break it back in.
