Did you replace your shock or haven't tried a new one since then?

Thanks made it easy and had it made the same length as G9s stretch that way I could just pick up a cable and shock extension local. All I wanna do is ride but have family in town so I'm a bit grounded.

I did ride it home and feels great. Crazy my highest temp I hit was 322, I have dropped the MJ to a 102 and it's getting much better full throttle. The carb is close and now that the bike is back together I will start working on the trans. Got 7g rollers in with a yellow contra and it just isn't getting to high gear. Pulls great to 40-45 then just won't go. I am gonna put in a blue Contra and see what happens.

Greetings:

You can Sharpie-mark your pulleys to see how far up toward the rim the belt goes. Think "Mercedes-Benz" logo. Also, watch the tach as you crack the throttle. Does it jump up and then down? If so the load may be too light for the spring. I find it easier to settle on a spring and then juggle the rollers, going up or down by no more than 3 grams per change. Splitting the clutch is more work.

Thanks Wheel. I have sharpies the pulley and will check it when I change out the contra. Pretty sure it's just not going into high gear. If I'm going down hill boom jumps to 55 ish fast. Now that the stretch business is done I'll deal with the clutch next week.

Put in a blue contra this morning and gonna see how that helps. took it for a quick spin and still feels like it doesnt want to go past 40mph. any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Was thinking the same G. Going to lighten up tomorrow and will be going into town so I'll be able to see what's up. Started there as this was basically the setup I had with the contessa and figured that would get me close. It's crazy if there is any down hill slope it hauls(as much as this setup can.) I gpsd it on the way home and it hit 52 with a slight downhill run.ill change em tomorrow and diagnose and tweak Wednesday and when I come out you can take it for spin and help me fine tune it.

Well the wife and kids are in Cali for a week and so I get to play. Dropped in 6g rollers all around took off. This route is pretty standard for me so I have lots of past runs to go off of. With the lighter weights it definitely ran better but it's still off. Put 30 miles on and temps got up to 355 degrees tops. Not sure how hot this kit can take. That said I think I'll put in a 100mj tomorrow and keep going lower with the weights.

It still ran ok and if the Rpms stayed up it does pretty well. Loses a bit going up hills. And hoping the lower weights help.
