are you looking for help to get it running ??? if so you need to put the inner finder back on and hook up the air filter up... first it may run after you do that....

after connecting a new battery it was cranking but wouldnt turn over.. i blamed it on the carby which did have alot of s*** in it...

ive cleaned it out, but in the process i broke the automatic choke (ill order a new one monday), im guessing the float needle was dirty as fuel was * out of it...

my air filter box plastic (or the bit that goes over the wheel) is stuffed, and the air-box pipe is long gone.. (and has been replaced with a dodgy piece of radiator pipe)

whats an inner finder ?

"cranking" MEANS the engine IS "turning over"
We are left to assume that you mean the engine wont "FIRE" as it is cranking... :thumbwink:

that is correct motormike

so i got BOTH of my bikes started today,

my unknown condition 1986 Honda Spree and my 1974 Suzuki FR70 that has only been started once in the last 30 years...
im feeling pretty accomplished

the spree needed the air filter.. and i seem to have fixed the leaking issue (dirty carby causing slightly seized float pin)

and the Suzuki has fuelling issues, but would start with some fuel down its throat,

so i need to get some parts for the spree

rear brake cable (and possibly front as its "slack")
throttle cable
Auto Choke
all nuts and bolts that hold the fenders on
and an air filter fender

if anyone has those items they want to part with and don't mind posting them to Australia id be keen to work out something

managed to get the bike to idle today, realised it was a combination of the started wires being a little corroded and loose, and no air filter,

without the air filter i found the engine wanted to rev out, (could be due to a faulty throttle cable) but with an air filter it maintained idle

i'm waiting for some new parts from eBay at the moment :)

did a little more "refreshing" on the Bike today, came across the VIN plate, and found i actually own a NQ50M which is a 1986 Honda Nifty Fifty,

i replaced my old broken choke for a new one from Ebay, (still waiting for cables.. :()
installed a fuel filter
removed my exhaust and painted it,
also removed my Side cover and painted it
and the plastic covers for the engine and painted them also
and some general cleaning of the body..

still waiting on my front and rear brake cables and throttle cable so i can install them, i have new front brake shoes to install when i get them and i also plan to paint the wheels,

i rested the fairings on the bike also to take some new pics..

got the bike all together, after installing the new accelerator cable she now idles and runs well, (even without an air filter )

and after i found out which nuts and bolts to buy i bolted her all up
