For a better tail light get Silvania Silverstar 1157 bulbs and they will be much brighter. Or use the led kind.

Thanks for that info.
I ended up putting aluminum tape inside the housing as it didn't come with the chrome reflectors. It made a huge improvement.

Taking it to the mountains next week for my camping scoot. It will be seeing Lake Louise and Jasper; I'll take some scenic photos. :)

What kind of LED bulbs are as bright/brighter than the normal filament type? I tried a couple LEDs a long while ago and was disappointed with their output.

My buddy clocked me doing 55mph on the above trip. We did a 60kmh trip with no hiccups. Totally fun!

So I got some 9:1 gears from G9; would I have to change any clutch/variator parts to match?
I have 9.8:1 now...

You should tune the clutch to your own feel.
Install the gears and ride it. You would maybe change the clutch springs, and/or the contra spring for a better 0-10mph. Or half a gram lighter rollers......The taller gears will need some help with the take-off (0-10mph).
Nice scenery!!! Thanks for the pics.....

My strongest compliments on a machine that is striking.
In my attempts to keep abreast of the activity on this site,
I have missed your thread up until now.
I really like the idea that you have kept everything very tidy,
and limited the modifications to improve the performance.
I haven't read the entire thread, but you have certainly got yourself a sweet ride.... :urban:

"I like that flat-ish color of orange." That's the almighty Krylon Tangerine orange! lol Didn't want to spend $50 on paint.

With these gears, I'll be able to keep up with my buddies Honda Helix. They're our camping vehicles...

It's definitely lots of fun to drive and I get the RCMPs attention when I drive through their radar traps. They burst out laughing that I'm doing highway speeds! (90kmh)

Hi all!
I'm in the middle of installing some new tires: Continental Zippy 1s. The old tire were just that, old. Also going install my 9:1 gears and do some clutch spring adjusting and variator too.

So I'm back, been a while.
I had it in the mountains a couple of weeks ago and my temp was climbing on a straight stretch at wot so I throttled back to cool down.
Now I'm retuning the mj and just went up to a 108 from a 102, but I'm not finished yet as my Temps hit 396. So in the next couple of nights I'll go up again to a 110.
Reading back through the post, it appears that I should aim for about 375, thoughts?
