Greetings:
Returning from post office on Punkin, a 2010 Vespa S50 modified with 78cc Malossi cylinder and a Techno exhaust. Wheel-boy was astride Flash 9 when we hit the 1/2-mile. 50MPH limited strip to our turn-off home. Flash 9, I will remind the reader, is a humble de-tuning of SA50 from a Fire-Breathing Fabrizi to a more modest Polini Contesta iron cylinder. It has the ZX transmission conversion, 9:1 gears, but still running the stock airbox, carb and exhaust. Predictably we opened both throttles wide departing from the PO. Wheel-boy, who weighs about the same as I do, jumped to a 15-foot lead, whereupon Punkin hit its stride and we achieved nearly-identical 54MPH top speeds when it was time to slow for the turn. For beating the old man, I notified the Authorities of his speeding. His arrest is pending.
