BN157QMJ Engine

Post by darksideup83 »

I'm looking to do a swap on my '85 spree and I just bought a '08 Znen Vitacci 150cc scooter with a BN157QMJ engine, looks like the standard GY6 but is it internally different?

Hi, ya it has a different crank and the cylinder is particular to the block. So no bbk and variator options are less. Most qmj come with 13 to 16 inch tires, I have seen them with 12s but it was a vino style bike.. We called them the big wheel engines. I was never happy to see one come into the shop or get a phone call about one.
I would get a different gy6 150 if you can.

I've only seen them with big rims, crazy. Obviously there's a sub model I've never seen. I know znen is the only people who make them for sure.

There are short case (10" wheel) and long case (12"-14" wheel).

Im working on my second gy6 spree. They are a lot of fun but a little to much motor for the tiny frame.

With the motor pushed all they way to the stamped frame section the back wheel will still be sticking out.

Its a lot of modifications and money to get them proper
