Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. Theres absolutley no way to do a Douglas wheel conversion without modifying the shock. Thats assuming their narrowest wheel is a 2+2in.
Although you might be able to put a half inch spacer between the Kymco adapter the 4" douglas wheel just enough to keep away from the shock and still squeeze it within the muffler.
Thanks!

Got the tire in today. Decided to go with a 90/90-10 Kenda K329.

Solution(?):
rotated spring ~a half turn. If that ain't about a beesdick of space i don't know what is.

Yeah that will rub under load for sure. If you take the rim off and put a thick washer on the axel then the rim you can get a little more clearance.

Why not move the shock away from the tire ? Reshape the lower shock brackets and modify the upper frame. A quarter inch should do it.

I reacted a little hasty perhaps. I ended up taking the spring off and sticking it in the vice and bending inbetween the 3rd and 4th turn from the botton. I threw a zip tie around a couple of spots to maybe hinder it from turning too much to let it end up in a bad spot. Sat pretty firmly without the ties. I definitely will do this the correct way as soon as I source a spring.
