1995 Honda Elite SA50P Derestriction -I can't find info

Let me start by saying I have searched the forum and can not find a straight answer.

My elite goes 25mph top speed. I want to get it up to a min of 30 mph with minimal work because I am not very mechanically inclined. Carb is clean and engine was tuned by Honda dealer. They would not derestrict.

Any suggestions for a relatively easy fix to pick up 5+mphs please?

Chris

It should be stickied just like cg has it. Perfect.

Greetings:

I couldn't agree more! Done.

Also consider supplemental oil by opening the oump all the way with a zip-tie, or by acquiring an SR pump and split throttle cable. The SR runs 42 or better bone-stock. Near 50 with 9:1 gears.

Thank you. Drilling out the exhaust. I see the pic but it is as simple as putting a hole in that area?

I saw another post today about an SA50 with big bore questions and the topic started discussing gears. That made me wonder that if you derestrict a SA50P with the 3 steps discussed here, don't you need to change gears to make use of the new power? If so, what gears are recommended for a stock bore, derestricted SA50P? If not, is it simply an increase in RPM that makes you go faster, or is it removing parts 6 and 13 that do the trick?
