I think i have seen those dimming type indicators. You think it would be noticeable out in broad daylight? I know when the lights start to come on it is very feint until you realize that its bright and on, and your empty... Just a thought :geekdance:

I did the install in the day, and I noticed it coming on the other day. You definately gotta check for it but you can see it.

I might end up putting on a tach/speedo combo that has a gas gauge on it, but for now this is small clean and working haha.

Hey r1titan911, don't ride it alot on the first tank. Do alot (like alot) of heat cycles and then do some low speed riding. GO EASY haha. Not only does it need to break in but you need to fine tune it still, so you don't know if there's lean spots in the powerband.

Ok, back to mine. I was gonna buy a set of gears and an overrange, but a clean-* jog popped up on cl. It actually belongs to one of the members here, and I'm gonna pick it up for my wife to ride. Here's a pic:

I hear ya buddy. i did a bunch of idle/blip cycles and saw the plug was lean. Turned out some richness and just did some community strolls.

I'm sure it's illegal but I'm chanceing it haha.
I finally hooked up the turn signals in the rear so now all the lights work. I also dumped it in the alley behind work. I locked up the front wheel and laid it down. I scratched up the muffler a little but it's ok otherwise. Screwed my foot/ankle up a little bit too.

Nice i just hooked up my rear lights too just to check. Signals work but tail doesnt. I cant seem to find the automotive part number for spree bulbs anywhere >< Does your prebug use like 1156 & 1157 bulbs?

For a Spree the Tail Light bulb is a 2057HD....Sylvania makes "Long Life" ones that last forever-ish. The blinkers are single element and are 1073 or 7506. Easy to find at any Auto Parts store....or even Wally-Mart.

Tail Light: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/sylv ... /5081904-P

Blinker: http://www.autozone.com/electrical-and- ... 03300_0_0/

You should unplug your tail light and connect the wires directly to a 12v source to test that it is, in fact, a burnt bulb....before you buy.
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

My stop/tail bulb is a 1157 style (not sure of the actual number) the turns look similar but are single filament and smaller. Your tail bulb should be a -57. The 1156 and 2056 are single filament, the 2057 and 1157 are dual filament.

Yea i had to sand some corrosion off my bulbs but its an 1157 for the tail and 1073 for all 4 blinkers. I read that 2057 can be used in the 1157 place but is dimmer. But shouldn't not be done vice-versa since the 1157 draws more power (doubt it matters for our applications lol).

There are wattage ratings on the packages. Some are rated at 12 volts, some are rated at 14.8 volts. I've found the former last longer on scooters. If you read the wattages you'll be able to figure out what bulbs are brighter or dimmer. "Ece" rated bulbs are supposedly higher quality.

Warning: a brighter bulb w higher wattage ratings will be harder on your battery and charging system. These scoots seem to have a charging system good for about 4-9 watts. Not much, which means anything more and the battery is gonna have to provide it alone.
