Just figured out a way to get my dellorto 17.5 phva to fit.... and I'm glad cuz a 24mm would have been too big regardless of cheapness. Now I gotta order jets for this dellorto and figure out how to tune it. And I gained auto-choke! I might disable it and go to manual choke tho.

Ya just saw lots of stuff on how there a pain to tune. Luckily my parts pile has come thru again. I have a couple mikuni 18mm phbg carbs so I'm gonna try one of those instead. I still don't like the idea of a foam filter but I don't know what else to do. I ain't got a oem airbox and I've got an aftermarket intake manifold. I saw a guy on another forum wrap tape around a foam filter to restrict it a little and he said he dropped a few jet sizes so I might try that.

Found something else in my parts pile too.. a thumb throttle from a quad. I might have to use it, my wrist is going south these days. I broke my arm and later got a bad gash and lost a tendon. My right arm has seen better days haha. I've been thinking about going w a French left hand throttle or a thumb throttle to compensate for the pain.

pic of my final decision (so far) on carbs. A mikuni phbg, an 18mm I think. Came from a tng venice that I got, and I used some parts from an e-ton 90 carb. Has an 85 jet I think. I'm gonna stick w auto choke for now but I might swap that out.

Ya I've been kinda afraid of the rust. I oiled up the cylinder walls and exhaust n intake ports when I put it together, but ya I was kinda thinking bout at leads popping the head off and rotating it. It is outside and we've had a storm but I keep the motor taped up so I'll cross my fingers.

Jumps I'll put the sticker on... but I won't promise it'll be visible ;)

Picked out a couple of these beauties out of my non-inventory parts for work. these lights have the same style headlamp as ours, a glass bulb soldered into a glass and metal housing. The shape makes it easy to clean out the little shards of glass after I melted the solder and broke out the bulb. Should work nicely, has a good fit. I don't expect too much long distance light from these bulbs, as there basically a high-powered taillight bulb compared to a newer led headlight bulb, but they should be at least slightly better than the stock bulbs in output and look cooler.
