1986 Negative Creep

Here are some pics of a 86 Spree that I picked up a couple of years ago. It was running fine when I got it but has been garaged for about two years. Just now working on getting her back on the road. Plastics are in good shape, just a few minor scratches. I am planning on painting them olive drab green. after I get her fully disassembled, cleaned and running, I will start looking at doing some mods.
We have christened her "The Negative Creep". if anyone has a line on the rear luggage rack with turn signals, let me know. as you can see mine is a little out of whack.

Those blinkers act like sliders, save your motor and plastics lol. Suprised that when your break handle was snapped the plastic head peice wasnt too. Ive never seen a wrecked bike without the broken head peice.

Yeah, the head piece made it through. Luckily my buddy that tipped it over took 99% of the damage. still don't know how you can dump a 28mph scooter!

Its actually not that hard to be honest. The side stand sometimes bounces down and if your in a corner hard it loves to grab the concrete.

I'd bend the back rack out straight and run it as-is. I've done this work many times; a solid bench vise, big crescent wrench, and a pair of gloves are all the tools you need to tweak them back to straight-enough. Yours isn't that bad...

Just got some goodies for the negative creep. Grips, rear brake lever and complete gasket set. The gaskets are for the Honda Aero50/Melody. I will let you guys know how they match up on the spree.

Greetings:

The intake gasket from the '85 Aero MAY be the same as your Spree's, along with the exhaust. I'd be shocked if any of the other gaskets fit.

I wsih you would of just brought a roll of gasket material it saves you so much money in the long run. I spent 18.50 years ago on a roll meant for doing a large motor head and its lasted me until now with a 1/7 roll left.

I wish i had this scooter up and running today..... It was 73 all morning with an expected drop into the low 20's by sundown. Would have been a good day to cruise for ladies on the spree
