My next Iowa Spree project.

Post by eclark5483 »

Picked it up off of Craig's list. This one will be painted in Iowa State colors (red and gold), and will be getting an engine swap using the variated AF05E I have in my basement. Won't be a rush on this one, probably won't do much with it till the spring or summer next year.

Now I just need to decide if I want gold on red, or red on gold.

Greetings:

Great scooter, even better with an SE05 drive train. Red wheels gets my vote.

Red wheels and floor for sure...I think the yellow side panel would make the decal pop.
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

I'm thinking red wheels as well. The sides I'm having trouble deciding because of the way the official logo looks. This will be positioned of course, above the word "Spree" like the typical Iowa logo would be. The issue is the color of the "I". It's red, but is outlined in Gold. But then the word "STATE" is outlined in red... ugh...

Already have the variated AF05E. Gonna do a BBK, gear change if I can find them, and any other work I can do to it. Ported intake, Reeds, Slick Willy (possibly).

The most expensive thing though... is I wanna try a Tillotson Jetless carb this time around. I'm hoping G9 will have an adapter to make it work.

EDIT: OH YEAH... Also.. I'm in need of an engine mount !!!
