Post by Dallen70 »

Yo yo folks just got done tinting my blinker lenses on my Elite, wanted to get some opinions on tinting the headlight also, I think it would be cool to black out the whole headset but just wanted some feedback lol :peace: :coolcruise:

Ive been pulled over for headlight "black-out" covers on my car before. Last thing you wanna do is give them a reason to harass you.
I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.

:imo: Tinting your headlight would be appropriate for a trailer queen, but never on a street driven vehicle, day or night. :urban: /
Same goes for blinker lenses too...but hey, i like the look.

Ya I'm not too crazy on the darker lenses just cuz of visibility but it does look cool. I actually just ordered some yellow headlight film for my scoot, gonna have one yellow light and one clear one. Might be better in fog haha.

Haha yeah I was thinking yellow but I like the black out look. The paint was lens paint so it's designed for blinkers. The blinkers light up really well actually it's not much dimmer. Could throw an LED in as the headlight and then tint it but whatever. Plus we don't really ride a whole lot at night here

Been there done that. Its all about visibility sharing the road with the crazies. Doesn't matter what bulbs you put in. The electrical is specifically designed for the lights that it has stock, Honda knows there stuff and I'm not gonna mess it up. With age you'll come to appreciate a clean, stockish looking bike.

I say take out that oem bulb and replace w an hid or led! Brighter is better for visibility and for being seen by cage drivers.
