Cleaned my stage 6 filter 1 time and the glue is already starting to come undone. I used FAB1. :*:

Yah leave the guard on it or use the oem box. My foam filter is a liability in the rain.

Greetings:

I ran that Polini filter, briefly, on one of the Flashes. maybe the 90cc mini-stroker. I can tell you that snapping that rain cover over the foam filter caused a hopelessly rich situation - it barely ran above idle - because the limited area of the sum of the holes in the plastic cover increased the negative pressure so significantly. If you must run it, be aware of its airflow-limiting effect and be prepared to downjet by 3 or more sizes. I personally think it strangles anything bigger than 50ccs. There was nothing wrong with the Polini filter itself, but the plastic rain cover stifles airflow. A lot.

I wish there was a happy medium w aftermarket filters. It seems that they either flow too much or not at all. I've been looking at these remote mount airboxes for go carts lately. Ugly but look interesting.

Check this thing out. Looks like an air filter from a ww2 tank.
