Its been about 5-6 years since I had a moped. And I saw this on Craigslist and decide it was worth getting back into mopeds. Picked up this Honda super Dio with a Sym dd50 motor.

Hated the gold wheels and the stock height so I swapped in some slammed front forks(highest setting) and painted the wheels and muffler black. Also found a DDX airbox to quite down the 28 keihin carb. The Sym motor had a polini corsa already, but I'll be redoing the motor setup on a stock Honda AF16. I also have a AF18 stock myor and a spare AF16 to play with as well.

That looks slick with the black/black. But I bet those drag forks don't give you much suspension. Is that rotor 260mm? It looks bigger than a 220?

Yup those forks are super stiff. But they ride good as long as you don't hit and potholes and bumps. And the disk rotor is 220mm.
Swapped out the Sym block with a mini stroke crank for a stock af16 block with a stock crank. This will be my baseline so i can practice tuning. I'm a Lil rusty.

Also split open a spare af16 I picked up. The wrist pin clip was missing and crank bearings were grinding. Don't worry I'm trashing the crank so I just hammered em out haha. Cleaning that motor up for a future project

Thanks bonesv, I traded a Nardi steering wheel I had laying around for the air box.
They are pretty hard to find now days. Yup, got lucky, this bike had clean plastics when I bought it,
but I got some new spare pieces just in case, but they don't come in purple :(

Swapped out the V8 pipe for a PG short. And installed a clear headlight for better night time lighting.

Oh that one in the back ground is my friends. But I did have couple Tacoma before good Lil trucks. I swapped in a 2.7 3rz from a 4runner into it and front bumper as well . I sold it after I bought my 92 civic hatch
