You could use an air filter like this one which, if mounted up correctly, could serve as a useful support bracket....

If I had to guess, the combo of the SA50 engine mount being a bit longer than the aero + naraku intake will put the carb and rear shock in a situation where that box wouldnt work very well unfortunately.

Did some riding around, bent front wheel be damned. It RIIIIPS. at least at like 1/4 throttle. The couple times i opened it up, it seemed as though the response tapers off. Havent gone full throttle at all, but yeah it seems to do well. Still need to get a tach so I can see whats going on.

4k springs and it grabs pretty high and I can kinda roll into the pipe so as not to die. Way more rideable than I imagined with the stock gears still in.

Temps never above 275 and getting oil out of the exhaust but might be just from when i built it. 45 pilot seems pretty fat but Im inclined to leave it there unless someone thinks I should change it. IIRC im about 3 turns out on the air screw. It idles pretty high on the choke, not sure if thats normal

Quick video of the machine being ridden. I bought a new Met wheel for the front and Keli Lightweight clutch with 5500 springs installed from MVS. Should be here this weekend. This thing is fast, but the bent wheel wobble is scary lmao.

Had a minor problem. I should have checked sooner, but i heard a sound at idle that sounded like rocks in the case. I have heard the sound on my other scoot, but was too dumb to check. On my AF05 it was the sound of the fan hitting the shroud because a bolt came loose. I locktited these fan screws so i shrugged it off, turns out the whole got dang flywheel came off. It was backfiring and running like crap, then finally i couldnt kick it over so i pulled it apart assuming the worst. Sheared the woodruff key and chewed up the opening on the fly wheel a little. Someone told me the stock torque spec should be ignored if im going to be building it bigger.

This time around I lined it up, tapped it on with a hammer, torqued it. Tapped it, torqued it, tapped it, until the nut wouldnt come loose. Stuffed a washer between the nut, and gave her 50 ftlbs worth of ugga dugga with blue locktite, then marked it with a marker. Hopefully it doesnt come loose again. I feel like I got lucky.
