Just kidding! My 87 Spree partially disassembled and awaiting its new heart...a variated one.

Finally…someone gets it! I always look at the stock Spree like my buddy with his 4-banger Mustang. He throws gobs of money and time into trying to get that pony fast when I keep telling him…”drop a v8 in that thing already!”. With the money he has into it he couldve had a 500hp crate motor in it by now. Instead he has a slightly faster than stock stang that still gets bent over by any Honda Civic in town.

LOL Yeah, this was my plan since I got the Spree. Goal is to build it up into something fun out of it with a variated af05e from an elite and save the Elite for an af16e swap or obtain a 94 or newer SR50, which is happening in the next few weeks. I'm getting a package deal on it along with an extra frame, forks, front wheel and a few new parts. I can't freaking wait! My current Elite is in really good condition only needing a little paint attention and one rear turn signal lense. Even the integrated storage pouch/front turn signals are in perfect shape. She's gonna clean up nicely. Here's a pic of her and all her pink sherbet-trimmed glory. I don't know what it is about it. The pink color is so ugly, yet I actually like the black and pinkish color scheme on them. LOL

I did those same swaps some years ago and it turned out great. The Spree with the variated Af05 motor is how that scoot shouldve been made to begin with. Its a good match. Too bad theres no rebuild kits around for them anymore.
