Stiffer clutch springs on stock setup?

Post by Kikwear »

I see the stiffer clutch springs to compensate for the pulley mod and such but would it help in stock acceleration or just prematurely wear out the clutch?

It will probably help your take-off accelleration, at the (possible) cost of earlier clutch wear. It's a tradeoff. New clutch shoes cost $30 and last 3000 miles or so with stock springs. I'm betting you'd half the life of the shoes, maybe. I'll know more when I try this on mine; I finally got my aftermarket clutch springs.
