Carby return line?

Post by Mirage »

It seems to be missing a line off the bottom of the carby. Its an old honda spree, unsure of year. Would this affect it in any way?

There are no return lines off the carb.

It's fine without a tube. The connection at the bottom of the carb bowl only flows fuel when the bowl drain screw is manually opened. Photo below is not a Spree bowl, but functionality is the same.

like mousewheels said, you're fine without it. You might want to put a tube back on it in the future. Sometimes people open the float bowl drain to make sure gas is getting to the bowl, or to make sure there is fresh bowl in the gas. Yours will drain as is, but it will probably drip gas onto the spree. The tube allows you to route the gas down through the frame to drip out by the center stand.
