I've got a lonely nipple.

Stolen from another thread by user "Dac"

Hi I'm new to the forums, just drove home a spree given to me tonight. It's red!
Anywhere I'm tearing it down, it doesn't have an air filter and there's a drippy nipple as seen on the bottom most right portion of the picture.

What is it, and what does it do? I'm sure it is supposed to be connected to something but...well...it's not.

Also where is the cheapest place to order parts from either online or get them from a store? I'm in Oregon =[
Thanks

If its what (I think) you are referring to... it's the overflow that is located on the bottom of the carb. As far as i know it's ok that its dripping, but you may want to use a spare piece of fuel line to re-route it around the transmission case and lead it to the ground. Just to avoid a sticky mess.

Well, since there is no float bowl in the picture, it can't be the bowl drain and NO, it should not drip. No carb should leak fuel to the atmosphere, ever. All the things sticking down from the bottom of that carb should be covered up by the float bowl. If you don't have the float bowl and the float and needle and seat, then you need to acquire them.

you said you drove the spree home. Does that mean you hauled it home or the spree is actually running and you rode it home?

License and registration is out of state but I have rode it around. It runs fine, doesn't have much power (that I know of) and barely hits 30mph. I hauled it home.
I'm 130lbs! It needs mods.
