Twist & Go Magazine Scooter Tire Review

Post by Clivester »

FYI I came across this info while searching for a replacement tire. Its off another forum and I can't verify it directly with Twist & Go Magazine since its subscription only.

Anyway, here it is FWIW.

Here are the basic test results from the giant comparison tyre test, in the Twist & Go Magazine. It was a very professionally conducted test using the same rider, and he was not allowed to know what make of tyre was fitted each time,so that there would be no bias. After testing each tyre one by one, around a go-cart track,he had to go off and assess the tyre out of 10, on Grip,Feel,Safety & Confidence, plus, best laps, and top speeds were recorded, compared, and included in the 'Overall Results' as well.

Looks like the Hoop is a fairly good, inexpensive choice. I don't ride in water anyways. My Gyro thanks me!

I will have to see if it available on line.

I am old enough that I want traction when the traction is poor. When it is good I have no worries. I don't intend to ride in rain but what if. More would traction on gravel. We have a fair amount of that.

This subject came up a couple of months ago and there was a large contingent that wanted nothing but the cheapest, makes me cringe.

i did play with tire compounds & tread patterns yrs ago and for super sticky soft pirelli rules but they wear fast, michelin is medium hard, for off road its about the tread pattern, its all about riding conditions
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!
