So i got a 86' spree and its not wantin to start. Its getting gas, has a new spark plug, just replaced the bystarter, cleaned the carb, exhaust isnt clogged, and i dont know what the deal is. Any ideas? help please!

Here's some quick questions to ask your spree: is it getting spark? How is the compression? Is the fuel fresh? Are all gaskets intact and there? Is the starter turning it over? Is gas getting to the cylinder? Is the crankcase filled with oil?

Just some basic ideas to check before trying to start your new 50cc beast...

yeah its gettin spark and everything. just for a back story here is what happend. ive had if for a lil over a month now and it was running great. then one day i turned onto a dirt road and laid it over. still ran fine for 2 or 3 days. then it was hard to start one night but i got it goin by kick starting it and then the next morning i couldnt get it to start. it started up for a sec then died and now its just turnin over..

check compression, reed valves, and try new plug since you can't see if it's firing once installed.

If you have spark thats all the electrical it needs to run when using the kickstart.

check airfilter. crankcase filled with oil?
