Time for a Rebuild!

Post by ScootStick1 »

So the Elite me its maker today. The sweltering heat and running a bit too lean melted the piston I'm sure...

I'll tear it down when i get a chance and post pics but for now I'm looking into Big Bore Kits but I'm not sure what else I need to run a Big bore kit I'm sure i will need a set of carb jets so i can get it tuned it what else is needed?

I didnt get the factory airbox with it.. All it came with was a UNI filter and I was waiting on the jets to come in the mail but who knows how long the kid rode it really leaned out because it only made it a total of 6 miles with me on it..

So with say a 72cc Polini kit and bigger carb jet what else would I need to safely run the scooter? I know I will need a pipe and some trans/clutch work but are those things that could hold off or do I need to do all of it at the same time? I feel like I'm missing something and I'm new to scooters and two strokes in general
