what is your main goal here? if your looking for performance then I would get a bigger manifold and carb setup. if its for good gas milage then either go stock carb and airbox or find a 18mm carb like a mikuni vm18 that the all the jets can be changed and the needle adjusted. post a pic of how the needle setup looks like.

I an curious, what is the number on that big carb. At 18 mm it should be a PB carb and they have a replaceable pilot jet.

the pilot jet and main jets are replacecable on my keihin

how many turns out do you have the air/fuel screw at? in the pic its the screw on the left closest to the flange.

right now its at 1 1/4 turns out. earlier i had it at 3/4 turn but it seems to like the 1 1/4 better. running 42 pilot and 95 main.

turn it out to 2 and see if it clears up. if it doesn't then its the needle
