We took out my relatives old 1986 Honda Spree that was sitting in there garage for years and we Got it to work for a couple of seconds and it runs longer when we spray carb or choke cleaner in the carborator.so we can get it to start alot of the time but it runs for a few seconds then stops. And it rides and the lights work too... We tried cleaning the outside area...so does anyone tell us how to fix it? Here is a picture of what it looks like...

Re: Need Help 86 Spree
There are a lot of threads on here about what you need to do. Seems like everyone's relative had one of these in the garage/barn/shed for the last 10-15 years.
Follow the link Bear gave... then search the boards for the more specific things like... Clean and oil the Air Filter... clean/replace fuel line... recarbonize the muffler/piston/head.
But that is if you want this thing to be running well. If you just want something to mess around on, then do whatever it takes to keep it running and hope it lasts for a few months of fun

not a good idea to use either of these to run a 2 cycle engine on. they have no lubrication, in fact it removes any oil still lingering on the cyl walls. your looking for a seized engine if you keep using it. on a better note use a fuel/oil mix to prime your 2 strokes.Rocky101 wrote:spray carb or choke cleaner in the carborator
