if the pin in the slide is off not good !!! shood be in the middle..
if the air screw is no set right not good.. the book setting is a starting point ..

to set the air screw.. start the motor on the stand let off the brake turn the air screw in or out and lison to the motor . when the motor get to a hights rev its set .. then just re set the idle screw to a low idle..

ok, the pin is in the middle.
i set the air screw again. it idles perfect. but when i give it anything over a 1/4 throttle she falls flat on her face.

on this post is something from bear on carbs on the first page http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewto ... =4&t=21616 the pin on the slide has 3 or 5 notch?? you may want to try moving it and see what happens if it get go the other way.. how is the bystarter ????

check your manifold for cracks or a gasket leak too..
i bet mine is slower!!! now what??

manifold is good. i took the jug off and it has a crack on the cylinder wall.

couldn't the crack in the cylinder wall be my whole issue? when it get warm the crack probably expands making it even bigger.

by the look of the plug i figured i was running lenn also.
not sure about the carb slide sed.

You don't try the air screw in many different positions. You adjust it properly and leave it there. Why can't you people understand this simple concept?
