Help with 95 Elite.

Post by JONESER »

I'm trying to get my friends scoot running so it can be sold to pay some of his major medical bills. It has sat in his garage for over a year without being started while he has been healing from 3 major surgeries.
I have cleaned the carb and made sure everything else is in order. The starter seems to have quit working & the battery is dead as a door nail. I tried to kick start it and it'll kick over once and the kickstarter stops & wont kick again. I took the plug out and it'll kick over all I want & by hand. Put the plug back in and can only kick it once.

Too much compression?? I'm stumped. Ive been working on mine & a few friends scoots for a couple years & never had this happen.

Thanks in advance for any help.

My best guess is that your crankcase is full of oil. When the piston goes down it gets oil on top if it and there is not enough room in the combustion chamber for all the oil and that is why you get one kick.
