An easy way to get water out of a spree crank case?

Post by patthesoundguy »

This idea just came to me. Couldnt one pull the intake tube and reed block from a spree and just use this http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.a ... at=1,42401
to vacuum out a crank case. Or pull the cylinder either way it would be cool

I wish I had thought of charging $15 for a cap and some rubber hose.

The best place to suck from would probably be the oil pump cavity. :imo:

You are probly right about the oil pump cavity, in that case could one just vacum out the junk through the oil pump hole maybe. Im just tossing the ideas out there because somtimes they come to me and i need to get them out of my head and see what others think of them.

If there's water in the crankcase why not take the engine off the frame, take off the head and the cylinder and dump out what you can. Then you could put it in your gas grill, close the lid and cook it dry. Half an hour at low heat ought to do it.

Do not cook your engine on the grill.

How long before the aluminum is fork tender? Do you replace the 2 stroke oil for barbeque sauce?
