1986 honda spree

hi, i just bought myself a 1986 honda spree! i have done some research and realize that i need an air filter. the only thing i dont get is it ran for probably an hour, and now wont even turn over. it has compression and i cleaned the carb. i dont understand why it wont start. any help would be appreciated thanks :peace:

Is the red knob on the right in the run position? Key turned all the way forward?

You might have fouled the plug - pull it, replace the cap, and hold it to your exhaust pipe while turning over. If the red kill switch is in middle position you ought to have a nice spark.

Then again you might have killed the battery trying to start! Or, like me, corroded the battery box to heck resulting in the voltage regulator falling off...

it has no battery. it just wont turn over. has spark

Do you have a compression gauge? It may be enough to push your finder off but it needs at least 80lbs to start. You'll need even more than that to keep it running

Remove the exhaust and see if it starts.
