Oil Fill

Post by berreta22 »

I am in the process of replacing the piston amd rings and what i noticed is the oil level in the crankcase is dirty. I want to change it out but have no clue as to where the oil fill/ drain is. I know this was covered in an earlier topic but was afrais that it was so long ago that none would look back that far to see it. Thanks, info is in my siggy

Remove or drain fuel/oil tank. Remove plug, tip scoot on side to drain. Fill until no more will go in when level on stand.

the final reduction oil is not the same thing as the oil in the crankcase. It seems no one can give me a stright answer on this.

.....the oil for the crankcase is either the two-stroke injector oil that you put into the oil tank under your seat behind the gas tank or if you have taken off the oil pump then it is the pre-mix stuff you put in your gas.

On a two-stroke there is no perminant crankcase oil like there would be in a 4-stroke...

It's a two stroke, no oil goes in the bottom end! If there's oil down there puddling up it's a problem.

ok there is no oil in the crank case, its a dry running system the berings are just greased, we know engines so we know there is no oil in the crankcase, this is a 2 cycle, so it burns oil in its gas, which is done by premixing or in a mopeds case putting oil in the oil tank and haveing it put into the cylinder by the injector. the final reduction oil is just transmission oil, i run synthetic transe oil.
