spree cranking but not starting

Post by ray »

hello,

i just bought a 86 spree about a week and a half ago. it worked GREAT for the first few days, and then all of the sudden wouldn't start (engine cranked but wouldn't start). i cleaned the carb and the fuel lines, and eventually it started but when i went to ride it the pickup was very poor and it ended up dying while trying to go up a hill. the next day, i gave it another try and it started up and worked GREAT again. this lasted for a few days, but yesterday it went back to not starting. i don't know much about sprees, but this is kind of a mystery to me!!

does anyone have any idea where the problem might be coming from??
