THANKS! the correct Elite front brake part to convert Aero?

Post by donut »

Evening -
I just bought this on EBay and am a newb.
Just wanted to make sure this is the correct part please.
Using it to convert an 86 Aero 50 to metro rims.
Will I need the elite front brake cable? or anything else?
Hopefully a neighbor will be helping me and I want to have all parts at the ready.
Thank you very much!

That one listed will not work, it has spacing for fork tubes. It said it is from a Honda metropolitan scooter at the bottom of the listing.
Do you still need a '94-'01 Elite hub? PM me. I have a couple extras with the axle/spacer. lmk
Your Aero brake cable should work but I could not say for sure.

But the metro one could prolly work as well if you get or make the correct sized axle spacer. But I've never tried myself.

Yea, it is misleading. A lot of that on Ebay these days.
Just hang in there, help is on the way!
I can get one to you quick, and cheap.

Greetings:

The Met hub is also the correct 95mm, but it has the locking bosses oriented vertically. It won't work on the Aero trailing-link fork. SA50 Elite from 1994-2001 is really the only easy fit. They pop up often enough on fEeBaY.

Greetings:

I had an Elite hub on Flashes 1 and II. It truly is straight-up bolt-on. No issue with the brake or speedo cables, either.
