I can't give you an exact explanation,
but in general, the model AF16 refers to the engine series that your scooter has.
Several different bodys can have the same engine series.
For example, the AF05E engine is found in Spree, Aero, Elite, and probably other Euro models like Melody.
I do not recognize the shape of the panel your bought.
Try to find a contact email for the "Support" team of the supplier of the panel and
explain to them for some accurate and rectifying help.

The AF18 motor with the small crankshaft was used in the first generation JDM Dio scooters (AF24 and AF25). The second generation Dio (AKA Super Dio) also used the small crank AF18 motor in their initial model introduction (AF27). Subsequent AF27 and AF28 Super Dios used the larger crankshaft.

The AF16 is used in the USDM SA50 Elites.
What about the G-Dash af23? It has the af18 motor also.
Also, I thought the af24 motor was the same motor as the af16.
I've never seen an af23 in the flesh, so I wouldn't know about that. AF24 motor is the early AF18 motor. AF16 is USDM. The pulse generator is oriented towards the front on the AF18, and towards the rear on AF16 motors.
