Go to your local motorcycle shop and get 3/16" see through fuel line. You can buy it in a bag or by the foot. The most common is made by Helix and The line I got was labeled Parts Unlimited although it was made by Helix, blue in color.
While you are at it, get an in line fuel filter too. Pay attention to the flow direction arrow on the filter though. It will still work flowing backwards but clog up alot faster.
If you warm up (read- don't melt it) the end of the fuel line with a cigarette lighter it will be much easier to get onto the fuel filter barb. Just do this far away from any fuel vapors. Click for fuel line link. Click for fuel filter link.
None of this is news about fuel lines to anyone who can read or use common sense. Fuel lines need to be made to handle today's chemical crap called gasoline.
And not any fuel filter will work for these low pressure (read gravity feed fuel systems). Some will cause to much restriction and starve your engine for fuel. My choice is the Honda fuel off the Aero 80 and Aero 125 because I know it will handle the fuel needs of a 125.
FILTER, FUEL 16910-GB2-900 MSRP $8.04 However I've never paid more than &%.50 from my Honda dealer.

Did a lot of work today... Got the air box off, and got the carb disconnected. Got it opened and cleaned the main jets... They were all still clean from the restoration... Put it all back together and it still wouldn't start.. Pulled the spark plug, and what do you kno, it was cooked black... Grabbed one from autozone, which was a cross reference from the one on wikispreedia that didn't fit of course... Had to special order one, which will be here tomorrow... Hope that's the issue. Will update you guys in next couple days.
Spark plug in that was cooked was a NGK: BPR6HSA, the one they sold me was a BPR6HS. The one I ordered was another BPR6HSA, should I try a BPH8HSA?

This fuel filter is designed for gravity feed fuel supply systems for small engines such as mini bikes, motorcycles and lawn equipment. I have used them on everything from a 49cc engine up through a 1450cc with nary a starvation issue. They do come in 2 sizes.
I will never recommend a product that I am clueless about without stating so in my recommendation post.
I do not wish to create more of a headache for anyone else, especially when troubleshooting a problem.

You do realize that the main jet has NOTHING whatsoever to do with starting. Only the idle/pilot jet and the bystarter (when cold) do. So cleaning the main will never help a no start situation.

So I just swapped the fresh spark plug and it still won't start... Running out of ideas now, guess I'm gonna take bears advice and look for that idle/pilot jet (only cleaned the main jet last time, but now I kno how to take it apart at least).... Can u please post a pic of where they are? Prolly go in on carb again tomorrow or wed. If that fails.....
Just like Bear said: Make sure the pilot jet is clean. I verify by blasting a stream of carb cleaner through. If you get a strong and symmetrical spray pattern then you know its clear.
Sometimes you can see a "pinprick" of light through them, but you need a flashlight and a dark place.
And lastly, this type of clog is almost certainly the #1 cause of non-starting on scoots that have been sitting awhile. Therefore it should also be the #1 thing you investigate in such situations.

Completely cleaned carb, all 3 jets with carb cleaner and compressed air... Hooked up,new spark plug n tested it, there's a perfect spark... Bike still won't start... Now what? At this point I'm guessing it's a fuel issue, checked the lines.. There's no cracks or breaks. I'm stumped, if nobody can give me sum ideas, it's either take it to a mechanic or I'll have to just wheel it to curb on trash day.
also are you taking the carb apart completely or just taking the bowl of and spraying at it?? ive done 3 of these and all comes down to a little tiny piece of dirt in the dark depths of the carb...
I can see light through all 3 jets... The only one that looks a little suspect is the jet next to the main one... Which is so small I'm not even sure if it's a jet. And yes, I took apart the whole thing, not just the bowl. Don't kno how to do a compression test... I'm * cuz I kno my mechanic will fix it in 5 minutes n charge me 100 bucks... Any other ideas, let me kno.
go to your local auto parts store up here its oreily's or autozone and ask them if they have a compression tester you can rent normally they are like 40$ and if you return them within 2 day you get all your money back so its free to borrow. follow the instructions in the kit. if your compression is 90 psi or lower you will need new rings which is very simple to do if i can do it anyone can do it!
HOPE! Bought some starter fluid just to double check... Sprayed it in the carb from behind the air filter and she fired up for a few seconds, then died... If I'm not mistaken, this has to be a fuel issue.... Should I take carb apart again, clean again? Or check fuel lines and petcock? Please advise, trash goes out 2marro night...
Got excited, pulled the carb off again.... This time gas leaked everywhere. So petcock is working, and fuel lines are clear... Something has to be clogged in that carb, too much gas on it to fiddle with it now, left it out to air dry, will try again tomorrow. Can someone post pics and technique of idle/pilot jet cleaning... Even tho I think I cleaned it pretty good earlier today. What else could be clogged in there?
