I have goo on mine too swimmingfree those aftermarket taiwan manifolds can be hard as * to seal off. I have been considering ordering one of those high end manifolds from daytona, motoforce or stage 6

You think that piston head looks ok?

That permatex orange smear is me getting a little crazy with it - Its gone. It was just overflow out when I bolted it down and smeared it with my finger

yea it looks fine man all piston crowns get carbon built up on them, usually what you ahve to worry about if scoring on the sides of the piston. While you have it apart make sure the edges on the piston skirt are chamfered etc

im not a fan of that gooo because its on the inside as well and cood f up the reads ..im not saying that is why your compression is low ... you need to do a ring end gape to see if its in speck ..if the end gap is big it will have low compression ...

I'm being told Ruima no longer makes bores? Is this true?

So worst case scenario (which I don't think I really do) I need a new bore - who makes a similar bore size? Or who might have a 52mm Ruima laying around? Any idea?

There are still plenty of ruima bores out there if that is the case they just arent making any new ones but that does not mean that they wont sell the idea to a different company either, all kinds of taiwanese and chinese manufactures copy this stuff. I think your bore and piston are fine

I have a 50mm Ruima that could be bored to 52mm. Really good price since it's not really usable how it is at 50mm.

I would say ill take it but the walls on these bores are already thin enough, to bore to 52mm seems sketchy

Anyone on here still sell ruima parts? Taz maybe?

I reinstalled the top end tonight and cranked it. Only got to 90 pwk again... Don't think new base gaskets are going to help here

If anyone cares - provoscooters e-mailed me and told me Ruima still makes 2 stroke bores...

Wow! Here is some info you guys might find funny. Since my compression has been down I have been emailing around to see who carries Ruima replacment parts. I have learned that they still make 2 stroke bores, taz carries 50mm bores and finally they never even made 52mm bores!!!!! Tony Chin at Ruima said they only made 50 and 51 for Elite / Dio. So I got out my caliper and grabbed the piston diameter , 50mm !!!! Unreal. I'm going to get some base gaskets from taz , see if I can get compression up with just those alone, if not then ill get piston rings,.etc

Got new base gaskets, head gaskets, and rings from Taz today

Big shout out to him - thanks again

Hopefully I can bolt this up tonight and get my compression back up!
